Equanimity: The Quiet Virtue (at Dharma College)

IN-PERSON EVENT

In a world of constant change, uncertainty, and emotional intensity, how do we remain fully engaged with life without being overwhelmed by it?

For our fourth Berkeley Circle, we are honored to welcome Margaret Cullen and Dr. Roger N. Walshfor an intimate conversation exploring equanimity—the quiet strength that allows us to meet life's joys and difficulties with greater balance, openness, and compassion.

Margaret Cullen is a psychotherapist, longtime meditation practitioner, and pioneer in bringing contemplative practices into mainstream settings. She co-developed Compassion Cultivation Training at Stanford University and is the author of Quiet Strength: Find Peace, Feel Alive, and Love Boundlessly through the Power of Equanimity.

Dr. Roger N. Walsh, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, Philosophy, and Anthropology at UC Irvine, has spent decades exploring meditation, consciousness, psychological well-being, and the meeting of contemplative wisdom and modern psychology.

Together, we will explore a question that feels especially relevant today:

Can we cultivate a mind that remains open and steady—even when life is not?

Berkeley Circle is an intimate, conversational, and community-centered gathering, and space is limited. These evenings are created to be experienced together in person and are not recorded. We would love to have you join us again for this special evening.

Registration is $25.
